Why Choose Implementation Specialists
Five reasons NAV customers pick IS to lead the move to Business Central.
Two Decades of Microsoft ERP Experience
We've implemented Microsoft ERP for more than 20 years. We know C/AL, AL extensions, ISV dependencies, and the practical reality that most NAV shops have quietly built workflows nobody documented. We honor what works and modernize what doesn't.
A Proven Seven-Phase Framework
Every migration follows the same disciplined path — no improvisation, no scope surprises. Named Fastest Implementation for Mid-Market Distribution ERP by G2.
Our Own Apps on Microsoft AppSource
We don't just implement Business Central — we build for it. Our published apps include Project COGS Detail Posting, overflow remittance printing, and solutions for Retention, Collections, and Enhanced Email.
Industry Depth Where It Counts
We serve mid-market distribution, mechanical contracting, manufacturing, and professional services — the same verticals that dominate the installed NAV base. Your consultant will speak your industry's language from Day 1.
Fixed-Scope, Predictable Delivery
You'll get a written scope, a fixed price for the defined work, and a realistic timeline. No open-ended time-and-materials engagements.

Two Paths — We'll Help You Pick the Right One
Every NAV customer is different. Our free assessment ends with a written recommendation on which path fits your situation — and why.
Full Upgrade
Best for organizations with meaningful history, transactional depth, and customizations that continue to deliver measurable value. We migrate master data, historical transactions, and open balances, and convert your C/AL customizations to AL extensions.
Reimplementation
Best for organizations that want a clean start on the modern platform. We migrate master data, opening balances, and setup — the essentials — and retire technical debt in the process.

Frequently Asked Questions
Most projects run three to six months, depending on your NAV version, customizations, and data scope. A reimplementation is typically faster than a full upgrade.
No. C/AL code is not supported in Business Central online. We convert to AL extensions, replace with native BC functionality, or substitute an IS-built or ISV app. The right approach depends on the business value of each customization.
A full upgrade preserves customizations and transactional history end-to-end. A reimplementation migrates essential data only — master data, opening balances, and setup — and starts clean. We recommend the right path during your free assessment.
All supported versions — NAV 2009 through NAV 2018, plus Business Central 14 on-premises. Older versions require intermediate upgrade steps, which we handle as part of the engagement.
Where your existing ISV publisher has a Business Central version, we migrate to it. Where a modern Business Central equivalent exists, we recommend it. Where neither is a fit, we may substitute an IS-built app or build a lightweight AL extension.
Business Central will feel familiar to any NAV user — the same core data model, forms, and posting logic — but the interface and navigation are modernized. We deliver role-based training for finance, operations, sales, and warehouse users as part of every project.
Hypercare is included through your first month-end close. After that, most customers move to an IS managed-support agreement that covers the biannual Microsoft release cadence, user support, and continuous improvement.
Every project is scoped to your business. Your free assessment produces a preliminary investment range, and the Statement of Work defines a fixed price for the agreed scope. Microsoft incentives can offset a meaningful share of the total.
