The Functional GP Consultant will perform implementations, upgrades, troubleshooting and maintenance of customers’ systems. They will work closely with team members in conducting multiple client projects and technology support.
Role and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Demonstrate excellent customer relationship management skills.
- Design and execute data imports using SmartConnect or other integration tools.
- Ability to write and execute advanced SQL scripting.
- Train end-users on how to effectively use GP system features and applications.
- Troubleshoot and provide support for the entire GP system.
- Assist with the upgrade, data migrations, and go-live support of customers’ GP Systems.
- Assist with new customer implementation.
- Ensure completion of tasks including but not limited to quality assurance, functional specification, implementations and product reviews.
- Create financial and operation reports.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills targeted to effectively present information to management, peers and customers.
- Learn and support 3rd party products and tools developed by our team.
- Create and follow best practices for case management.
- Maintains clients’ records by reviewing case notes; logging events and progress in a timely manner.
- Participate in team training, meetings and overall work collaboration.
- Log time accurately on support and projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, MIS, Management or related field.
- Minimum 3-5+ years of MS Dynamics GP and/or Microsoft CRM.
- Prior work experience in the accounting field and knowledge of general accounting principles is preferred.
- Ability to implement and set up GP and/or Microsoft CRM as well as be the trusted advisor to the customer.
- Ability to learn new business processes or applications very quickly.
- Experience with SSRS is preferred.
- Ability to balance multiple cases and tasks at a time.
- Sense of urgency and excellent follow through.
