What’s New in Job Cost 2024: Key Features You Need to Know
Understanding your financial data is crucial.
The latest release of Job Cost 2024 introduces a set of enhancements designed to improve financial data accuracy, streamline workflows, and give users more visibility into their metrics. Whether you’re managing service calls, tracking costs, or reviewing job history, these updates make the system more intuitive and efficient, enhancing your ability to manage and analyze financial data effectively, allowing for better decision-making.
Add Salesperson at the Job Level
One of the most-requested features is now here: You can assign a different salesperson for each job under the same customer. This ensures the right salesperson gets credit for the right job — without the need to change the salesperson every time an invoice is created. This feature is essential for maintaining the integrity of your financial data.

New Service Call Transfer Window
The ability to transfer costs from a service call to a job isn’t new, but the new Service Call Transfer window makes it easier to manage.
- Quickly see which service calls are linked to jobs.
- Use icons to identify calls with pending transfers, completed transfers, or no links.
- Drill down to view details, costs, invoices, or unposted costs before transferring.
- Confirm transfers with batch mapping and receive a posting journal for transparency.
This new layout mirrors familiar windows in Service Management, making it easier to use right away.

Stop Voids on Closed Jobs
Voiding payables or PM transactions on closed jobs can cause WIP to become unbalanced. With this update, you can no longer void transactions once a job is closed — helping protect the accuracy of your financial data that is critical for overall business health.

View Job History Status by Period
A new Job History Status by Period report lets you review posted costs by period, giving you a clearer picture of historical job performance. This added financial data visibility supports better analysis, forecasting, planning, and decision-making.

Print Bill Codes from the Job Status Window
If a job is a Bill Code type job, you can now print the Job Bill Codes Report directly from the Job Status window. This eliminates extra steps and makes it easier to review bill codes quickly.

Why These Updates Matter
Together, these enhancements simplify day-to-day tasks, reduce the risk of errors, and give users more control over how they manage jobs and costs. From assigning salespeople to protecting data integrity, Job Cost 2024 delivers features that respond directly to user needs.
By leveraging financial data effectively, businesses can improve their operational efficiency.
